Pirates Beware!
Summer film making at Little Crickets is well underway as our youngest children have begun to research and build their storylines ready for their summer blockbuster!
Film making has become an established tradition at Little Crickets as children have been busy planning their costumes, plots, characterisation and storylines; a method which teaches a range of skills to children and helps them to understand how stories are made. They create using their own imaginations and expressive ideas to build a unique story and the films are premiered to parents at a special red carpet event. To enable children to have the thrill of a stage moment, children learn songs to perform. It is important to us and families to always include a simple performance element to provide a balance. Parents will be able to share the film with friends and family. The children rewatch and revisit the story they were part of whenever they choose, sharing alongside their families their experience, building communication and language, a sense of belonging, understanding of their development and performance abilities whilst evoking strong memories. The list of benefits is endless. Look out for pirates, sea creatures and some very cheeky monkeys!
