Ice and Snow
The Nursery have loved exploring and investigating the snow and ice this week. They have continued their discoveries inside in the warm too with books about weather, ice experiments, cold colour explorations, Polar regions of the world and the animals you might find there.
Teaching children about ice and snow supports understanding of scientific concepts, its a sensory exploration, the vocabulary the practitioners use develop language and by looking in depth at animals and environments this helps build appreciation of the beauty and delicate nature of the natural world.
